School Life > Inspiring Surroundings Inspiring Surroundings Milton Abbey provides a place for living, learning and shared experiences in an idyllic Dorset location. Our picturesque grounds and stunning surroundings offer space yet safety and security, and provide an inspirational countryside setting for our pupils. The Dorset towns of Blandford and Dorchester are located nearby and are conveniently situated for weekend outings and activities, along with the larger coastal towns of Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth. The School is located just outside of the picturesque village of Milton Abbas, approximately 30 miles south-west of Salisbury. Milton Abbey attracts pupils from a diverse range of geographical locations. Some pupils live locally and travel daily to the School on our fleet of minibuses, while others come from all over the UK or overseas.
