Festival of Voice

Sunday 19th July – Sunday 26th July 2026

 

Festival of Voice is an immersive celebration of singing, bringing together passionate performers from across the UK and beyond for a week of music-making, learning and performance in the breathtaking surroundings of Milton Abbey.

Under the artistic direction of James Platt and musical direction of Gavin Carr, participants work alongside an international faculty of distinguished singers, coaches and specialists, culminating in a powerful performance of Verdi’s Requiem in the Abbey’s soaring acoustic.

VOCES8 2026

VOCES8 International Summer School & Festival

Monday 27th July – Saturday 1st August 2026

 

The VOCES8 International Summer School and Festival 2026 is delighted to return to Milton Abbey, Dorset, from Monday 27 July to Saturday 1 August. Opening the Festival, VOCES8 and Ringmasters launch their new album ‘Shall We Gather’. On Tuesday, VOCES8’s gives its signature festival concert with a guest slot from Ringmasters. APOLLO5 appear on Wednesday, with Thursday featuring chamber group performances, Festival Evensong, and an evening of jazz with Andy Dickens and his band. Friday includes a Young Musicians’ Course concert and an evening programme from VOCES8 and VOCES8 Scholars, ‘Legacy of a Genius’, exploring motets by J.S. Bach and those he inspired. The festival concludes on Saturday with a Gala Concert featuring the world premiere of Rose Ever Blooming by Jocelyn Hagen and Timothy C. Takach, alongside Schubert’s Mass in G.
