SIXTH FORM EXPERIENCE DAY

Students in Year 11 are invited to our Sixth Form Experience Day on Saturday 7 November where they can discover what life and learning at Milton Abbey School could be like.

You’ll discover how our students benefit from the support, inspiration, challenge and encouragement of an exceptional team of teaching and boarding staff. Their dedication helps every student achieve their personal bests, both inside and outside the classroom. Come and experience it for yourself.

We are proud to offer one of the widest range of courses available in the independent sector. We will work tirelessly to find the right combination of subjects and course types to suit every student – whatever your interests, strengths and plans for the future.

We review the courses available every year based on trends and student interests. The choices you make now will determine the options that are available to you when you finish school. It is, therefore, vitally important that you make your choices in an informed and sensible way, so that you can secure the future that you want. Ultimately, the various routes that are open to you lead to a common destination – the world of work. However how you get there, and which parts of it are open to you, depends on the choices you make now.

What have previous students done after Sixth Form?
What is there to do in the evenings and at weekends?
What help with my studies is available?
How is Sixth Form life different from Lower School?
Will I be the only new student?
How long will it take me to settle in?
What if I don’t like one of the subjects I choose?
Milton Abbey School has given our son a solid foundation that other schools would not have been able to achieve

Finding the right course for you

Many students join Milton Abbey’s Sixth Form because they know they want to study a particular course. Some have heard that we have a wide range of options, but aren’t quite sure what’s right for them.

If you’re not sure what to study yet, don’t worry! We can help you find the right Sixth Form programme by discussing what you want to achieve, not just right after Sixth Form but into adulthood. We can also help if you want to study a broad set of subjects that will keep your options open for the future. At this stage of your life and learning, the three most important things are to:

  • Choose subjects that you enjoy
  • Choose subjects in which you have the greatest ability
  • Choose subjects that support one another
