Capability Service
At the end of the Michaelmas Term, we invite parents and friends of Milton Abbey School to join us in celebrating a special milestone: the official induction of our newest pupils as Miltonians.
Each pupil ceremoniously adds their name to our historic register, a tradition that began in 1954 with the school’s very first intake.
As part of the occasion, pupils are presented with a Capability Portfolio, a dedicated collection for the certificates, achievements, and awards they will earn throughout their time at Milton Abbey School. This portfolio serves not only as a record of accomplishment, but also as a valuable resource for their future endeavours.
Adventure Programme
The Third Form Adventure Programme at Milton Abbey School offers a comprehensive series of outdoor and skill-based activities designed to build confidence, resilience, teamwork, and leadership. Students engage in a wide range of experiences, including coasteering, kayaking, map reading, navigation, climbing, shelter building, survival skills, and cooking.
A strong focus is placed on preparation for and completion of the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award, with key training in expedition planning, compass skills, lifesaving, and camping. The programme supports personal growth through both individual challenges and team-building exercises, helping students develop vital life and outdoor skills in a supportive environment.
