Shortlisted 'Entrepreneur in Residence' competition entrants receive start-up funding

The three shortlisted candidates of this year's 'Entrepreneur in Residence' competition were today presented with their start-up funding cheques by Headmaster, Magnus Bashaarat.

The School's popular annual competition, open to all pupils, sees entrants submit business plans detailing how they would develop and launch their own small business concepts.  Shortlisted candidates then pitch their ideas to a Business Panel before three successful candidates are then selected and presented with £500 each as start-up funding.

This year's successful candidates (pictured L-R) include Henry, who is designing an invention to keep showers running continuously; Luchino, whose business involves importing Sicilian olive oil; and Amelia who is making sponge bags from recycled fabrics.

For the next stage of the competition candidates will submit progress reports to the Panel and attend individual business surgery sessions with Nick Wheeler, founder and Chairman of Charles Tyrwhitt and leader of this year's competition.
