Rose Prince teams up with Milton Abbey hospitality pupils ahead of Summer Fete

This term the hospitality department is delighted to welcome Rose Prince, journalist, columnist and cookery writer, who will be supporting the Lower Sixth Form pupils with one of their BTEC units.

Rose will be helping to provide inspiration and practical solutions to the ‘Business Enterprise’ unit.  Pupils will be expected to produce ideas of products that they can make and sell at the Friends of Milton Abbey School’s Summer Fete on Saturday 24 June.  In the run up to this event Rose will be working alongside hospitality teacher Elka Charlton to support the pupils in the production, packaging and ultimately selling of their ideas.

We hope to have at least three separate products of edible treats which will be sold at the Summer Fete to generate money for the school charities, Julia’s House and SKRUM.  After the Fete, Rose will be assisting the pupils to evaluate the success of their ventures and will help them identify if any of the schemes have a more long term future.
