Milton Abbey School students leave career-ready, confident, and equipped to take their next steps in life, whether progressing to higher education, apprenticeships, employment, or entrepreneurship. An impressive 96% of our leavers secure their first-choice destination.
Our Sixth Form students go on to study a wide and ambitious range of subjects, including Biological Sciences, Fine Art, Theatre Studies, English Literature, Law, Geography, Accounting, Optometry, Zoology, and Navigation and Maritime Science. Destinations span leading UK and international universities, prestigious hospitality schools, highly competitive apprenticeships, and, for some, the launch of their own successful businesses.
University Destinations
GCSE AND BTEC LEVEL 2 RESULTS
In 2025, our students have achieved a year of strong GCSE and BTEC success, with our overall GCSE pass rate rising to an impressive 78%, well above the national figure. BTEC Level 2 results were equally outstanding, with a 100% Level 1+ pass rate and 89% achieving Level 2 passes, far exceeding national averages.
Highlights include exceptional English Language results with a 100% pass rate, excellent performances in Science with high attainment in the Trilogy course, and superb outcomes across Creative Media, Enterprise, Sport and Hospitality, where all pupils secured Level 2 passes or above. Students achieved a number of top grades, including grade 9s and Level 2 Distinctions, and our overall value‑added scores improved notably at both GCSE and BTEC Level 2. These results reflect the dedication of our students and staff, and we remain committed to building on this success in the year ahead.

A-LEVEL AND BTEC LEVEL 3 RESULTS
In 2025, our Sixth Form celebrated a highly successful year of results, with strong improvements across both A‑level and BTEC Level 3 courses. A‑level pass grades rose again, and our BTEC Level 3 qualifications continued to thrive with an excellent 97% pass rate and a substantial increase in top Distinction and Distinction* awards. Many subjects achieved outstanding value‑added scores, particularly Hospitality and Film & TV, which continue to grow in popularity and success. We are proud of the progress made this year and remain focused on further enhancing our curriculum, teaching, and support systems to ensure continued success for every student.
