Milton Abbey

Welcome!
Welcome to our online prospectus. I hope it will serve as an informative introduction to this remarkable small school and, at the same time, give you a sense of what it feels like to live and work here.

Bigger is Better: Small is Best
Milton Abbey is, truly, a school like no other. We are small - a maximum of 250 pupils - and we have achieved what other, bigger schools strive in vain to achieve: an intimate community in which achievement in any area of school life is never rated more highly than quality of character. No one is overlooked. Everyone is famous.

Individuality is Celebrated
Yes, this is a very personal place. Inside the classroom and out, your child and their teachers will quickly come to a close understanding of each other. This lies at the heart of the learning process, for we understand that people learn in different ways and at different speeds. It's all about achieving personal bests.

Eat, Drink, Sleep, Work
We are specialists in residential education, and have played a leading role in bringing boarding up to date. We welcome day pupils, and hope that they will sign up for a period of boarding at some stage of their time here. We also offer the full range of flexible boarding options, and we operate at full speed for seven days a week throughout the term. Living among friends offers unparalleled opportunities for self-discovery and social development.

An Enterprise Culture
Milton Abbey pupils are famously open-hearted and charming. They have an infectious sense of fun. In tribute to the self-reliance they have learned here, they go on to be high achievers in a wide range of careers. More than you'd think start up their own businesses and work for themselves.

Come and See for Yourself
Come to one of our Open Days if you prefer to browse. Or make an appointment to come and see me, look around the school and spend some time with members of our community. Please contact the Admissions Office.
