Matches

A quick note for parents to let them know of the rugby matches against Monkton Combe this weekend.

Home matches

U14 A, U14 B and U15 A. KO at 1430

Away matches

1st, 2nd, U16A and U15B. KO at 1430

It is fantastic to be putting out so many teams - and a testament to the hard work of the pupils and the staff.

Weekend activities

Saturday evening: Trip to Wemouth for the Sixth form, film for all third form here at Milton Abbey, a trip to Tower Park for the 4th and 5th form to see 'Tinker tailor soldier spy' and a five aside football competition.

Sunday afternoon: Quad biking for the 4th and 5th form, and Paintballing for those not going quadbiking. Both of these are optional for the sixth form. Erin-Clare Cassidy is organising a lacrosse tournament for the sixth form boys and girls, and Mrs Doodes and I are hosting a tea party for all the third form.

Mr Mieville

I visited Hugo Mieville in hospital in Southampton after his heart operation on Monday. I'm pleased to say that he's making a speedy recovery, and although extremely tired, has made great progress. Two cards signed by most of the school were delivered to him, and he sends pupils, staff and parents his best wishes.

PTC

I'm meeting with Iain Saker today about the PTC. This body has already proved extremely useful, and after today we'll ensure that the PTC page on the website is fully functioning. The next meeting takes place on the day that we break up for half term.

More news, with sports results and other details, to follow.
