Academic

Introduction

Milton Abbey prides itself on getting the very best out of individual pupils, and this is the same in the academic sphere. An emphasis is placed on the importance of teaching and learning, and on getting the best out of pupils through assessing their individual abilities and pitching themselves against personal expectations, and not those that are dictated to by league tables. To that end, pupils feel empowered as they are encouraged to aspire to better work. The school is proud of its individual results, and especially pleased with the range of Universities that it has sent pupils to – from Oxbridge to local colleges. Above all, Milton Abbey wishes to challenge pupils academically, and to broaden intellectual horizons at all times. The curriculum is full and varied, with a myriad of different subjects available to pupils at all levels.
