3rd Form Curriculum
In the first year at Milton Abbey, pupils are given a huge range of academic discipline experiences enabling them to fully understand the options available to then when they enter the GCSE years.
Maths, English and French sets are streamed, with pupils set in these subjects according to past performance in class and in end-of-year exams, so that a boy is set in a class where he is most likely to prosper. The option remains open in these subjects for a boy to move – on the basis of regular monitoring and consultation, grade orders and end-of-term exams – from one set to another where his abilities will be better met.
