Sport

In addition to timetabled PE lessons, all pupils take exercise at least four afternoons a week.

The main team sports for boys are rugby, football, hockey and cricket. Girls play hockey, lacrosse, netball, rounders and tennis.

Sports facilities include a nine-hole golf course, indoor sports hall, gym, indoor pool, squash courts, a rifle range and traditional turf and astroturf pitches.

Because Milton Abbey School is relatively small, we are able to coach to a high standard, and have had talented students who also play at club, county and national level. Naturally they are much in demand for the school teams, but many others have a very good chance of being able to play to a high standard in a team too, if they want to. We try to encourage the more reluctant at least to enjoy keeping fit.
