Gareth Doodes, who will take up the post in September 2010, has been the Deputy Headmaster of Milton Abbey since September 2009.  Gareth was educated at Eastbourne College in Sussex and St Andrews University, where he read history.  He attained his teaching qualification at Cambridge University.  Gareth started his career at Taunton School as a history teacher before moving to Oakham School, where he was firstly Master of Scholars, overseeing the appointment, development and appraisal of the school's scholars, and then, for five years, a Housemaster.

NEW HEADMASTER APPOINTED
General Sir Jack Deverell, Chairman of Milton Abbey's Board of Governors, today announced the appointment of Gareth Doodes as the new Headmaster, when Jonathan Hughes-D'Aeth leaves to take up the headship of Repton, Dubai, after fifteen highly successful years.

Woody Hopley won the solo vocal competition and Jeremy Hubbard the instrumental section to give Tregonwell House overall victory.

Tregonwell wins House music competition
Middleton, the girls' house, won the recent House song competition with a lively rendition of California Dreamin.

The band entertained the audience with a wide selection of music in the stunning setting.

Band of the Royal Corps of Signals plays in the Abbey
Milton Abbey recently welcomed the Band of the Royal Corps of Signals to an evening concert in the Abbey in aid of the Abbey.
The band entertained the audience with a wide selection of music in the stunning setting.
