The Return of Reuben James

We were delighted to see Reuben James return with his jazz trio just after Half Term.

The packed King’s Room was transformed into a jazz club once again, and audience members were treated to an evening of cutting-edge jazz straight from Soho. The Hospitality pupils and staff ran the bar and provided an excellent table service. The band played two 45-minute sets and included both familiar and original tunes. Reuben was joined by Ferg Ireland (bass) and Pedro Segundo (drums), both of whom brought pizzazz to proceedings.

Described as ‘Britain’s best young jazz pianist’ by The Times, Reuben James is a regular performer at London’s Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. He is also well-known as pianist to Sam Smith, Calum Scott, and Ruby Turner.
