Record bag for School and MAA Shoot

The Milton Abbey School and MAA (Milton Abbey Association) shoot seasons got off to a flying - if rather soggy - start just before half term.

We welcomed back a group of leavers from 2006/2007 to enjoy the delights of our (now) five different drives.  The bag was a record for the Milton Abbey Shoot and the day was very much enjoyed by all - even more so after the group had enjoyed a delicious shoot lunch in front of a roaring fire in the Prince's Room!

The Milton Abbey Shoot is run for educational purposes and supports units on the BTEC Countryside Management course, giving a true vocational experience.  The beating lines are made up from pupils and they each have a chance to use the radios and ‘run’ a line.  Teamwork and communication are key!

Thank you to all involved for making the day such a success.
