Middle and Lower 6th music students had a fantastic time last week when they visited Marshall Amplification in Milton Keynes. It was a great chance to see one of the world’s best known amp companies which has been used for decades by so many famous musicians across the world. As we are coming up to the festival season the factory was in full flow and their theatre was being rented out by “A” list artists. We managed to have a look in the theatre before the ‘secret’ artist arrived, which students thought was Bastille due to the equipment and the hints on the flight case arrangement! Who knows if they were right?!? In any case it was a brilliant day which gave students an insight into the development of amplifiers and why Marshall Amplification has been the amp of choice for guitarists for so many decades.
